Directions for use
Osmocote Exact Protect has been especially developed for early spring pottings of Calluna and other sensitive crops in container nursery stock.
Application of Osmocote Exact Protect is ideal for i.e. conifers, roses and bare rooted plant material / grafted material in autumn, sensitive crops and early spring pottings.
The correct application rate is very important to obtain optimum results. A slight re-fertilization in the main growing season could be necessary, but depends on the crop type and growing conditions.
Osmocote Exact Protect 5-6M can be mixed in the potting substrate or dibbled in the plant hole. Dibbling is only recommended for well-rooted liners (P9). Only make use of fertilizer applicators which do not damage the coating.

These rates are based on potting substrates with max. 0.5kg/m3 base fertilizer and are general recommendations. For most pottings no base fertilizer is needed. Contact your ICL Specialty Fertilizers advisor for specific advice.
