Thousand cyclamen move from trial station to care homes

NAALDWIJK (NL) – The ICL Specialty Fertilizers team divided 1000 pink and white plants over 5 care homes yesterday.

Following a successful trial with Osmocote at the research facility of the World Horti Center, the cyclamen were ready to move on.

“The plants were in such good shape after the trial that we came up with this plan that would make many people happy. We didn’t want them to end up in the bin”, explains Elsbeth Sterkenburg of ICL.

The team provided each plant with a cute pot and handed them out to the residents of 5 care homes: De Hooge Tuinen, Woerdblok and Rozenhof in Naaldwijk, and Domus Nostra and Nolenshaghe in The Hague. There were enough cyclamen to add a colorful touch to the common rooms of the homes, too!
