Growth Habit and Characteristics
- Bunch-type growth habit with very fine blade width / low upright growth
- Uniform, very dense turf with dark green color
- Performs well in a wide range of well drained soil types,
pH range of 5.5 - 8.0
Performance Characteristics/Adaptations
- Good drought tolerance / recovery when compared to other fine fescues
- Good winter color / cold tolerance
- Thrives in shaded and low fertility situations
- Excellent performance when left unmown for a natural, links look
- Suggested for winter overseeding where natural spring transition enhancement is desired
Establishment and Maintenance
- For turf, seed at 25 - 30 gr/m²
- Early autumn and spring seedings are best
- Seedbed should be kept moist during germination and establishment
- Germinates in 8 - 14 days with optimal soil temperatures of 15° - 26° C, with full coverage expected in 6 - 8 weeks
- First mowing recommended when turf reaches approximately 5 cm in height
Established Turf Maintenance
- For best results, fertilise at annual rate of 10 - 15 gr/m² of nitrogen
- Deep, infrequent irrigation recommended during cooler months / lighter, more frequent during the summer months
