Exemptor Revocation - UK
The final date for Irish growers to place orders for Exemptor, for which the apply themselves or incorporate by third party, is fast approaching.
“While increasing numbers of growers are successfully adopting an IPM approach to vine weevil control, many others are still highly reliant on Exemptor to control vine weevil and other pests,” says ICL’s Ireland Country Manager, Colman Warde.
“Exemptor revocation is slightly more complicated than usual, due to the fact it can be sold as ‘straight’ product or can be sold ‘ready incorporated’ into growing media mixes by ICL or other growing media manufacturers.
With this in mind, ICL have issued clear instruction for important dates within the Exemptor revocation schedule for growers and distributors to use moving forward.
- Final sales to distributors: 3rd August 2020
- Final sales from distributors to growers: 3rd November 2020
- Final delivery date for growing media incorporation: 6th January 2021
- Final use up by end users: 3rd February 2021
“It is important for growers to take note of these dates and make sure that they put them in their calendars.” Continues Colman “The dates for the Republic of Ireland are slightly more complex with the later date for distribution sales to the trade. It is also important to note that, for growing media incorporation, growers should be in contact with the suppliers to make sure that there are sufficient stock holdings for their orders for delivery up to the 6th January.”
Growers will need to place orders for 5Kg and 25Kg product with their distributors in good time for deliveries to be made by the 3rd November 2020. Lead times may vary so please check with your local distributor.
