Agronomical advantages and usage

1. Select MagPhos is high in magnesium which is an essential nutrient
2. Ideal for crops in the development stage with a high magnesium need
3. Alternative for MKP and magnesium nitrate
4. Close to a complex fertilizer
5. Alternative source of magnesium

1. Magnesium plays an important role for the chlorophyll build up in the green parts of a plant.
In the period of vegetative growth enough magnesium supply should be provided to grow the green plant parts. In the soil magnesium is in competition with manganese and calcium. Therefore sufficient supply in soils with high levels of manganese and calcium is needed. Besides chlorophyll development magnesium is essential for root development as well.
Select MagPhos supplies magnesium in a very efficient way.

2. Crops benefit from a quick start with sufficient supply of all required minerals. Some crops need besides a relevant amount of phosphorus also enough magnesium. Especially when magnesium is low in the soil Select MagPhos is a perfect start. Crops that need relevant amounts of magnesium in general are cucumber, tomato, leek and banana. The element magnesium helps the plant to root well and is besides the creation of chlorophyll the main element that takes care of sufficient root mass.

3. Select MagPhos can replace MKP (Mono Potassium Phosphate (0-52-34) and magnesium nitrate in a fertigation plan. 0,94 Select MagPhos + 0,42 potassium nitrate is +/- the same amount of nutrients compared to 1 MKP and 0,5 magnesium nitrate. In situations where magnesium nitrate is not on stock Select MagPhos is a great alternative to give the crop the nutrients it needs.

4. With 80 points of nutrients in 3 different macro and meso elements Select MagPhos is a very complete fertilizer and almost an NPK fertilizer. Due to its acidifying capacity it fits in many situations where well water is used to fertigate crops. When the amount of tanks is limited
Select MagPhos is also an interesting fertilizer to use. Efficient and easy to use.

5. Select MagPhos is an alternative source of magnesium. Select MagPhos is nitrogen free which gives this product a benefit over the use of magnesium nitrate. It allows free and full control over which N-source to use to fulfill the nutrition program.
