The European Turfgrass Society Conference Proceedings have been published, and three collaborative research projects between ICL Specialty Fertilizers and partners were selected for the publication. One of the selected papers is ‘Applying surfactants decrease turf water use under high evaporative demands in glasshouse conditions’, submitted by Lancaster University PhD student Vasilios ‘Billy’ Giannakopoulos.

Managing turfgrass with HPro

The research illustrates how applications of H2Pro wetting agents improved water use efficiency of Lolium perenne turfgrass under high evaporative demand glasshouse conditions. H2Pro wetting agents helped the plants cope with a period of high-water demand, demonstrating how they can be useful for managing turfgrass through difficult summer conditions.

Dr Andy Owen, ICL’s International Technical Manager, says “It is testament to the quality of the research being undertaken at ICL that these three projects have been published.”
