How nutrigenomics research allows for a directed biostimulation

Where: ICL / Alltech Seminar at Four Oaks Trade Show, Cheshire.

When: 12.00-12.30  Tuesday 3 & Wednesday 4 September.

What if your plants where elite athletes?

To excel in their sport, the best athletes consume a diet as carefully planned as their training regimen. Vitamins, minerals, proteins and other sports supplements enhance both their mental and physical strength. Plants respond similarly to biostimulants, which can be used to activate their metabolism and influence biological processes within the plant.

Nutrigenomics is the science of how nutrition affects gene expression. Using its state-of-the-art laboratorty in nutrigenomics, Alltech Crop Science is improving the understanding of plant metabolic processes and reaction to stress to develop technologies to induce resistance − allowing the plant to better support and recover from different stresses and express its full genetic potential.

At the forthcoming Four Oaks Trade Show seminars, Nicolas Body − Technical Manager for Alltech Crop Science and an agronomist specialized in sustainable farming systems − will highlight examples on different crops and plants, from the genetic response and the enzymatic consequences, to the beneficial impact for producers.

ICL and Alltech Crop Science are partnering to launch two new products in ICL’s new Vitalnova range – Vitalnova Prima and Vitalnova Shield. Powered by Alltech Technology, these products are formulated to fit the needs of modern producers to promote better product quality and improve sustainability.
