With Stuart Gammage, ICL’s technical area sales manager for the East of England, joining the BASIS crop protection register, the whole 11-strong ICL UK technical team now has BASIS accreditation.

“A rigorous scheme, BASIS demonstrates competency and up-to-date expertise in the rapidly changing and technically demanding plant protection sector,” says ICL sales manager, Adrian Thirtle-Watts.

“A high level of technical service is an integral part of the ICL offering. To advise growers on plant protection products, advisors must be members of the BASIS crop protection register and keep up-to-date with the latest developments through CPD.

“We insist members of our technical team are both BASIS and FACTS qualified.  A voluntary scheme, FACTS shows excellence in optimizing crop nutrition while also protecting the quality of soil, water, air and biodiversity. Having these qualifications also helps our customers, when working to accreditations such as BOPP, to demonstrate that they are sourcing advise and products responsibly.

“We’re delighted that the whole ICL technical team is now BASIS qualified – congratulations to Stuart, who passed first time, and will now be studying for FACTS.”
