“We’ve collected quite a few points over the last couple of years and we’ve certainly made the most of Turf Rewards. To start with we managed to kit all the staff out with iPads, which are used only for work purposes. Everyone uses their iPad to plan their work - it’s allowed them to be more versatile and has improved our communication. Weekly planners are completed as well as the management of pitch allocations at the training ground.
“This year we went for the DJI Phantom drone which allows us to monitor pitch wear and tear. We produce a monthly report for the director and the coaching staff, highlighting issues of wear so the drone really helps with that. Most recently I’ve just ordered the Enviromonitor vouchers which will enable us to purchase a range of measurement tools. We carry out weekly tests at the training ground in terms of moisture and firmness so these tools will be great.
“We’d be looking to invest in these kind of products anyway so it is saving us money. It’s nice to get something back for the amount of commitment you show to a particular company.”
