“I’ve recently used Turf Rewards to claim Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) education vouchers. Education is very important for us - we are a university so we want to encourage a person’s professional development and Turf Rewards gives us the perfect opportunity to do this", says James Wright, Acting Supervisor of Grounds and Gardens at the University of Leeds.

“The vouchers have enabled us to put three members of staff on the Winter Pitches course which in turn will improve their skill-set. Everything we do is all about improving the students’ university experience, so these training courses boost our knowledge which then helps us make a difference to the facilities.

“We want to show as a university, that we can bring someone in as an apprentice and that they can work their way up to a management position; and doing all these courses helps them on that path.

“Once you see your points building up you just have to look at it and use it as a tool to improve your operations.”
